Paweł Zalejski jest absolwentem Akademii Muzycznej im. Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie, gdzie ukończył studia z wyróżnieniem w klasie prof. Krzysztofa Jakowicza. Swoje wykształcenie muzyczne kontynuował na Uniwersytecie Wiedeńskim, Hochschule für Musik w Detmold oraz Indiana University Bloomington School of Music w USA.
Jest laureatem licznych nagród solowych i kameralnych, zdobytych w różnorodnych formacjach. Szczególne miejsce w jego karierze zajmuje I nagroda zdobyta jako prymariusz Apollon Musagete Quartett na prestiżowym Konkursie ARD w Monachium. Zespół, założony w 2006 roku w Wiedniu, koncertuje na najważniejszych scenach świata – również jako laureat europejskiego programu ECHO „Rising Stars”, do którego został nominowany przez wiedeński Konzerthaus i Musikverein.
Wraz z kwartetem Paweł Zalejski został uhonorowany wieloma nagrodami, w tym Paszportem Polityki oraz tytułem „Artysty Nowego Pokolenia” przyznawanym przez BBC.
Jako koncertmistrz współpracuje z wieloma zespołami, a na stałe związany jest z Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg w Bregencji, Nordic Symphony, Südwestdeutsche Kammerorchester oraz Ensemble Kontraste z Norymbergi.
Paweł Zalejski graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under Professor Krzysztof Jakowicz. He continued his musical education at the University of Vienna, the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, and the Indiana University Bloomington School of Music in the United States.
He is a prizewinner of numerous solo and chamber music competitions in a wide variety of ensembles. A highlight of his artistic achievements is the First Prize at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich, which he won as the first violinist of the Apollon Musagete Quartett. Founded in 2006 in Vienna, the quartet performs in the world’s most renowned concert halls and was selected for the ECHO “Rising Stars” program, nominated by both the Vienna Konzerthaus and Musikverein.
Together with the quartet, Paweł Zalejski has received many distinctions, including the Polityka Passport Award and the BBC “New Generation Artist” title.
As a concertmaster, he performs both as a guest and a permanent member of several ensembles, including the Symphonieorchester Vorarlberg in Bregenz, the Nordic Symphony Orchestra, the Südwestdeutsche Kammerorchester, and Ensemble Kontraste in Nuremberg.
