Graduate qualifications
Upon completing the study programme graduates of the Faculty of Instrumental Music obtain the following qualifications:
1st degree (B. Mus.-equivalent) studies
The graduate is a comprehensively trained instrumentalist, exhibiting ample theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of their musical specialization. The graduate is prepared to pursue their individual artistic career. Upon completing the Music Pedagogy Programme, pursuant to the standards of teacher training, the graduate is professionally prepared to pursue a teaching career. The graduate has mastered a foreign language at the B2 level (in compliance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The graduate is prepared to further their education at the 2nd degree level of studies.
2nd degree (M. Mus.-equivalent) studies
The graduate is a comprehensively trained instrumentalist, exhibiting in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge allowing them to interpret the performed musical compositions and pursue their individual artistic career. The graduate displays sound knowledge of solo, chamber and symphonic music literature. The graduate exhibits ample knowledge of the historical background of the performed musical works. Upon completing the Music Pedagogy Programme, pursuant to the standards of teacher training, the graduate is qualified to pursue a teaching career. The graduate is prepared to further their education at the 3rd (doctoral) degree level of studies.
