A recent example of an international agreement with great prospects of being promoted abroad is FABREC. The European Culture Project FABREC (Fabrique Culturelle Européenne) No. 2008–2265/001-001 is a form of international cooperation of academic circles in Europe, and the Academy is a party to this agreement. Implemented by three partner institutions: Université de Toulouse 'Le Mirail' (France), Babes Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), and the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (Poland), the project has been approved and financed by the European Union. The leitmotif of the project is “Neighbourhood”, understood in its many aspects as neighbourhood in culture, arts, society, and education. Various artistic concepts of the theme have been selected during discussions held by project participants, and implemented by three art teams in the three centres of Toulouse, Cluj-Napoca and Bydgoszcz. Each team consists of teachers and students representing all partner institutions. Art workshops prepared by each institution are a form of project implementation. The final presentation of the project will take place in May 2010 in Toulouse.
