FNAM Symphony Orchestra
Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra
Conductor: Zygmunt Rychert, D.Mus.A., assistant professor
The Orchestra is composed of students of the Faculty of Instrumental Music who find here an excellent opportunity to perfect their skills as orchestra musicians. The first performance of the Orchestra ever recorded in the Academy's history took place on 27th May 1976. The Orchestra's artistic achievements include the symphonic concert celebrating the 80th anniversary of Witold Lutosławski's birth (17th March 1993), and concerts given at the Music Competition Winners Festivals (26th November 2000, 27th November 2002). Among the Orchestra's past conductors were Jerzy Salwarowski and Zdzisław Szostak.
